ECCE 2022 Venue
ECCE 2022 will take place in the city of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Kaiserslautern is in the middle of the "Natural Preserve Palantine Forest" with attractive possibilities for leisure and sports, which attracts not only wanderers and soccer fans. The city offers many excursion destinations, museums, pubs and taverns and a lively inner city.
Are you looking for an unusual venue? We got it. Surrounded by numerous deciduous trees at the edge of the Palatinate Forest, in a downtown building reminiscent of the palazzi of Early Florentine Renaissance, or at the think tank of the University of Kaiserslautern. How about in the middle of an ocean of flowers at the Garden Fair, or alongside the playing field of a stadium that wrote German football history?
You can already tell: The places of creativity in Kaiserslautern are almost endless. And they can be wonderfully combined, of course: for example with attending a German Football League match of 1. FC Kaiserslautern or a concert at the Kammgarn Cultural Centre. As long as you are already here anyway...

ECCE 2022 Accommodation
ECCE 2022 will take place in the Hotel Barbarossahof. We have made special arrangements with the hotel so that ECCE participants will receive discounted rates for rooms there. Since the entire conference will take place at the Hotel Barbarossahof and the hotel will also be the starting point for the conference dinner and the special event, we highly recommend all participants to stay there as well!
The hotel connects a 150-year-old tradition with a pleasant atmosphere and modern service. It is located in the Eselsfürth district of Kaiserslautern and offers large conference and banquet rooms accommodating upto 120 people. The rooms at the 4-star Hotel-Restaurant Barbarossahof include multimedia flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and a daily breakfast buffet. The hotel family-run offers a bar and restautant, gym and wellness area, free parking, and a Tesla supercharger station. The Barbarossahof's restaurant offers Palatian specialities as well as international cuisine on its copious menu as well as a high variety of drinks. In summer months, meals and drinks are served in the beer garden. Furthermore, the city centre is just 4 km away.

ECCE 2022 Travel Directions
Kaiserslautern has direct connections to two freeways (A6 and A63). There are three major airports within a radius of about 100km (Frankfurt, Saarbrücken, Frankfurt-Hahn), from which you can easily continue by rental car or train to the ICE train station of Kaiserslautern. There is also a direct and fast ICE connection from Paris to Kaiserslautern. The most convenient and easiest way to get from the train station to the hotel is by cab.
